The Soul Nature Space

Living and Leading through the wisdom of our essential nature

What is

SOMATIC THERAPY?

Somatic therapy is a whole person approach to healing psychological difficulties. By embracing the body-mind connection, it is a powerful way to heal from trauma and transform other life issues.

Somatic therapy works with relationship issues, addiction, depression, trauma, anxiety, shame, life purpose, sexual abuse, and developmental/ attachment issues.

It can help to deepen self care and self awareness, create healthy boundaries, develop skill in relationships, and generate a sense of wholeness.

" I can highly recommend working with Aisling as

a pathway to healing and becoming whole”.

Mairead.

Our patterns

IN LIFE

often have their roots in earlier life experiences, leaving imprints which can really affect our quality of life.

Unattended to this can mean overwhelming emotions, difficulty in relationships, and can show up in the body as physical disease.

As the old saying goes, ” the body never lies”. By addressing your life experience through your body-mind, with curiosity and compassion, it is possible to reach the roots of distress, untangle the knots of trauma, and bring healing to cycles of suffering.

” Aisling’s nurturing, nourishing and unique ability to weave a holding space

allowed my experiences to unfold organically. This has resulted in a deep healing

of past wounds due to the unrivalled nature of her ability to fully see you as a

whole human, along with a depth of compassion I’ve not met in a therapist previously.

Allowing all parts of me to be fully seen and witnessed has been crucial to the depth of

healing I’ve been searching for; Aisling provides this, and so much more”.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

A somatic approach combines talk therapy and tracking what’s happening in your body. This allows you to get in touch with yourself in deeper ways than talk therapy alone. A key first step in Somatic therapy is “resourcing”- helping you to find safety in the present moment. This provides the strong foundations from which we then begin to explore your experience.

As your therapist I will closely track your experience with you, and support you to find new pathways in the presence of any overwhelm or distress, so that a re-patterning can happen. A renewed sense of safety, selfhood, boundaries, grounding, presence and empowerment can arise.

I will support you to let your inner world to emerge “drop by drop”, so that you can befriend and eventually transform difficulties.

MORE TESTIMONIALS

“Aisling was totally guided by what I needed to explore and her kind,

calm and gentle approach made it possible to broach memories I had pushed away in fear.

I cannot emphasise enough that this is not an extreme therapy.

It is soft and gentle and works at the pace you are comfortable with.

Today I have the skills to self-soothe, and to process old memories and new events

as they come up, rather than holding a lot of heavy and upsetting trauma in my body.

This is not something I thought I was capable of, and has encouraged me no end.”

Sorcha

“Aisling invites me to a sacred space, where my essential essence begins to emerge,

where I am beautifully guided through the tangles and twists of imprints and conditions,

arriving at last to a much more whole and embodied me. Thank you.”
